Bus Tracking

Have you ever found yourself waiting at the bus stop endlessly?

This bus tracking solution is for your community. Since RF is used instead of GPS technology, this solution is super cost-effective and at the same time equally accurate and scalable.

How does it work?

Tiny RF transmitter modules connected to a MSP430 (which can last for a year on a coin cell) are dropped in the buses. Then, on checkpoints throughout the route, RF receivers connected to a CC3000 and a Solar Panel are installed. This way there is no need for a network connection or constant triangulation; hence saving immense amounts of cost and power.

How much would deployment cost?

It all depends on the scale, however, roughly, the transmitting modules(inside the buses) with the coin cell would be about $2 each and the receiving kit with WiFi would cost about $30 each
